I am a passionate advocate for people who have tried many diet plans in the past, but who have been unable to reach their weight loss goals, or to maintain their weight loss for any length of time. I hope to teach everyone I work with that, by making sustainable modifications to their diet and by allowing themselves to indulge on occasion, they will find success and love who they see when they look in the mirror.

I feel that, because of my own experiences with the weight gain/weight loss cycle, as well as my training, I relate well to my clients. I believe strongly in what I have learned and am passionate about helping others. I have seen it work and I know it can work for you too.

For example…

  • One woman going through menopause had a very difficult time losing weight. By the third month of working together, she had reached her weight loss goal and felt great about herself. At the end of her 6-month program she re-signed with me and referred her husband to my program.
  • I worked with a teenager with body image issues and, by the time we finished working together, she was very happy with how she looked in the mirror. She then re-signed a short time later for some coaching during college.
  • My husband lost over 30 lbs. working with me. (He was my first client!) He had a total knee replacement this winter and had a virtually pain-free recovery because we had eliminated the toxins and inflammatory foods from his diet. He even stopped experiencing the debilitating leg cramps that had plagued him almost his whole life.
  • I have also worked with a woman who is in a very stressful job and had no idea how to eat healthy or cook for her family. I took her for a grocery store tour and gave her suggestions on how to make healthy choices that would be easy to prepare and something her kids would enjoy.  This client was so pleased with her results that she invited me to speak at her company’s Lunch & Learn After Hours program for their most important clients.
  • All of my clients have found success and reached their individual goals.

Of course, everyone is different, so I can’t tell you exactly what to expect as we begin working together. However, I can tell you that, if you follow my recommendations you will have some success and, if one way doesn’t work, we will try something else. I’ve been trained in over 100 dietary theories, from Atkins to the Zone and everything in between, so I know we can find a solution that works for you. I usually recommend we work together for 4 to 6-months, because that will give you a chance to get used to these new, healthier habits.

Beyond my own experience with the weight loss/weight gain cycle, I have received my Health and Wellness training and Coaching Certification through an intensive year long course at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition™ (IIN), based in NYC. I also took an additional 6-month long Immersion course, and received my certification through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and earned CEU credits from SUNY at Purchase, NY. I have also received my certification as a Thyroid Coach through Full Potential Living® as well as a certification as a Wellness Cooking Instructor.
